  Things that prevent you from reading the scriptures

 

 * 1) Do not sit with the vain (Psalm 26: 4) *.  Waster = those who pass the time in vain.  Today many children of God spend time sitting with relatives and friends talking nonsense and village stories.  Read the scriptures at that time even if you only get 10 minutes.

 * 2) Do not sit with the wicked (Ps. 26-5) * Wicked = worldly species.  World species should vacate the home space by speaking 1 or 2 words when speaking space.  We read in Psalm 1 that we do not stand in the way of sinners

 * 3) Roundabout: * Today many children of God can be seen roaming around saying that they are going shopping (mall).  It is not wrong to buy household items.  You can not sit for half an hour and read the scriptures.  But they will roam the town for hours.

  4) Revelry: 

Today many believers, the elderly and the staff are addicted to the game of cricket.

 Can be found to exist.  A few years ago a pastor invited me to a special meeting in his congregation.  The servant who was giving the news was sitting nearby.  He preached mightily.  Audi ran here and there like a calf and preached.  After the meeting he picked up his cell phone and called his son and asked what was the india score.

 The loophole of the cricket devil.  Many ministers and believers today are caught up in this

 8 hours wasted watching cricket.  Can you spend those 8 hours praying, reading the scriptures, meditating, praising the Lord?  May we receive more divine blessings through it.

 Make the most of time because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16) (1 John 2: 15-17) We read that it is the will of the eyes.  Christ's crucified their flesh and their lusts - Galatians 5:24

 Do not do what the mind and flesh desire (Ephesians 2: 3)

 In cricket extravaganzas

  One - (Galatians 5:21) (Romans 13:13) When Moses became great in the faith he hated eternal sinful pleasures (Ephesians 11: 24,25).

 * 5) Worldly concern (Luke 21:34) * - Children of God should not give place to worldly concern.  Put all your worries on him as he interrogates you.  (1 Peter 5: 7)

 * 6) Too much work * - Martha could not sit at God's feet because of too much work (Luke 10: 41,42).  Children of God should try to minimize worldly work and read the scriptures.

 * 7) Innovative devices * 

 TV, INTERNET, MOBILE, FACE BOOK, WHATSAPP, TELEGRAM, INSTAGRAM, EMAIL, GMAIL, SKYPE, HI5, WECHAT.  Many people today are addicted to it.  There is nothing wrong with using this.  But these must be under our control.  The time to use this should be minimal.  These should not be an obstacle to scriptural reading.
