SERPENT IN THE POCKET MARRIAGE
This is a deadly marriage. No matter how intelligent you are, you can never tame a serpent. The poison of the serpent will harm you sooner or later. When you pick a spouse who has the characteristics of a serpent and you put such a serpent in your pocket thinking that you can hide it from God and His people, while you are asleep, the serpent can crawl out, bite you and inject its venom that will paralyse your life and destiny. This is a marriage that must not hold. It is a marriage based on contract with an enemy of God.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
A yoke is a yoke, no matter how garnished. Any alliance with a child of the devil in the name of marriage can be likened to carefully concealing a serpent in your pocket. You may do it secretly but the consequences will be suffered openly. A serpent may lie quiet for two years but it would bite at an appointed time. At the end of the day, you will have yourself to blame if you deliberately provide accommodation for a serpent in your pocket.
Unfortunately, many people are voluntarily taking up serpents in the name
of spouses. It is tragic, that there are modern serpents who have learnt the art of camouflaging. When they come, they do not appear in the mode of serpents but when it is time to strike, they would bite without any remnant and release their venom.
